Contegra applies a specialized thermally fused epoxy coating to the FS 90 and FS 96 float balls for superior shedding of solids which may cling to the float switch.

The picture at right shows this Laminex™ coating shedding  materials faster than the Silverstone® coating used on a competitive float ball.

Notice that all of the "pastes" dropped on the float switches have slid further on the Laminex™ coated ball than the Silverstone® coated ball.
